Volkswagen Group Services in Lisbon is hiring an Embedded Developer to join our Innovation & Engineering Hub. You will design, develop and maintain embedded solutions for vehicles in customer operation, validating them with hardware and software test environments, including HIL setups.
You’ll build testing tools, debug across layers, and collaborate globally on platform deployments. The role requires 3+ years in embedded software, C++/Autosar expertise, and a strong grasp of networking and CI/CD
Annual gross salary range: Min. 29,505€ - Max. 57,225€

What do we do on our team?
We develop digital products and services for the TRATON Group, the heavy truck and bus division of the Volkswagen Group. Our Connected Maps service delivers up-to-date online map information directly to vehicles, enhancing fleet performance and operational efficiency. The system supports over-the-air map data management and provides real-time map insights to various vehicle functions, improving routing, efficiency, and navigation capabilities for our customers’ fleets. The service is live for Scania and MAN and will be rolled out later to our Trucks in North and South America. We’re looking for passionate team members to help develop these essential functions for our current and our future vehicle fleet.
What will your responsbilities be?
• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded solutions running on vehicles in customer operation.
• Validate embedded solutions using hardware and software test environments, including HIL setups, real components, mocking, and automated test scripts.
• Develop testing and automation tools to support and improve software validation.
• Debug and resolve end-to-end system issues across software, hardware, and network layers, ensuring system compatibility and reliability.
• Support the deployment and integration of platform features across multiple products.
• Take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks.
• Collaborate with your global team to improve services, tooling, and processes.
