ALTEN is seeking an Electrotechnical Engineer to support and review electrical design projects in Lisbon. You will analyze P&ID schematics, develop workflows, and perform calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

The role focuses on electrical design calculations, project layouts, and technical documentation review, with hybrid work arrangements in a Life Sciences context. A relevant engineering degree and 2–6 years of experience are expected.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

Electrotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrotechnical Engineer to support and review electrical design projects. This role will focus on analyzing P&ID schematics, developing electrical workflows, and performing technical calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• P&ID Schematics Analysis: Analyze and validate P&ID schematics with a focus on electrical components, ensuring accurate representation of electrical workflows, instrumentation, and system integration.
• Electrical Workflows: Develop and optimize electrical workflows, including power distribution, control systems, and automation processes, in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Material Take-Off (MTO) Documents: Build and maintain detailed MTO documents for electrical materials, including cables, panels, switchgear, and other components, ensuring accuracy for procurement and installation.
• Electrical Design Calculations: Perform electrical design calculations, such as load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, and coordination studies, to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Project Layouts Elaboration: Create electrical project layouts, including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment placement plans, aligned with process and operational needs.
• Technical Documentation Review: Conduct critical reviews of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, created internally or provided by suppliers, to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
• 2–6 years of professional experience in electrical design or electrotechnical engineering, preferably in industrial, pharmaceutical, or process plant environments.
• Proven track record in electrical project layouts, P&ID schematics analysis, and electrical workflows.
• Experience in electrical design calculations.
