Job summary

Devoteam Portugal in Lisboa is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to transform business requirements into secure, scalable architectures aligned with reference models. You will design robust API patterns, integrate heterogeneous systems including SAP, and guide multi-cloud initiatives across Azure, AWS, and GCP, including AI elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or similar field.
• Up to 10 years of experience in a Solution Architecture or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of APIs and enterprise application integration.
• Experience with cloud ecosystems (Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
• Knowledge of SAP enterprise landscape.
• Web and mobile application development knowledge.
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) fundamentals and applications.
• Understanding of architectural building blocks, logical design, and API specifications.
• At least one Architecture Certification (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, GCP, TOGAF).
• Strong analytical thinking with delivery-focused mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across global teams.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into viable, secure, scalable architectural solutions aligned with reference architecture; document designs for seamless system integration.
• Design and specify robust API patterns and integration frameworks for heterogeneous systems (including SAP, web/mobile, cloud).
• Provide architectural guidance across domains including Azure, AWS, GCP, web/mobile and AI solutions.
• Define and enforce security rules and governance; mentor technical teams to adopt standards.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders, development teams and Competency Centers to ensure scalable, future-ready solutions.
• Produce and maintain high-quality architecture documentation, diagrams and blueprints following governance frameworks.

• Translate business requirements into viable, secure, and scalable technological solutions aligned with EDP’s reference architecture. Document logical architecture solution designs with low to medium complexity, ensuring seamless integration across systems;

• Design and specify robust API patterns and integration frameworks to connect heterogeneous systems (including SAP, web/mobile platforms, and cloud applications);

• Provide architectural guidance across multiple technological domains, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), web/mobile architectures, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions;

• Define and enforce clear application and technological security rules, ensuring alignment with architectural governance. Actively communicate, persuade, and mentor technical teams to drive adoption of these standards;

• Act as the strategic liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and Competency Centers, ensuring solutions meet both current operational needs and future scalability requirements;

• Produce and maintain comprehensive, high-quality architecture documentation, diagrams, and blueprints following established governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Up to 10 years of experience in a Solution Architecture or similar role;

• Strong knowledge across core technological components and architectural patterns:

  • APIs and enterprise application integration

  • Cloud ecosystems (Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)

  • SAP enterprise landscape

  • Web and mobile application development

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) fundamentals and applications

• Solid understanding of architectural building blocks, logical design, and API specification;

• At least one recognized Architecture Certification (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, GCP, TOGAF, or equivalent);

• Critical analysis mindset with proven problem-solving abilities and a strong commitment to delivery quality;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across global, multidisciplinary teams;

• Fluency in English (mandatory);
