Job summary

Grünenthal Group in Lisbon, Portugal seeks a seasoned pharmaceutical Quality leader for our Manufacturing & Global Operations. You will drive quality assessments and lead cross-site diagnostics to uphold the highest standards across the value chain.

The role requires a Master’s in Life Sciences and 15+ years in pharmaceutical quality, with a proven track record in regulatory inspections (FDA/EMA) and major remediation programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience within pharmaceutical Quality functions.
• Significant experience as Site Head of Quality or Head of QA within GMP environments.
• Proven track record managing remediation programs and quality transformations.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assessments and diagnostics at manufacturing sites.
• Provide hands-on support to sites facing compliance or quality system challenges.
• Serve as interim Quality leader or advisor during critical business situations.
• Ensure sustainable resolution of quality risks, deviations, audit findings, and systemic gaps.
• Lead regional quality transformation programs and strategic improvement projects.
• Support post-merger integrations, site transfers, and network harmonization initiatives.
• Coach and develop site Quality leaders and teams.
• Strengthen quality culture and continuous improvement at site leadership level.

What You'll Bring To The Table

• Master's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering or related Life Sciences discipline.
• 15+ years of experience within pharmaceutical Quality functions.
• Significant experience as: Site Head of Quality/ Head of QA/ Senior Quality Leader within GMP-regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting FDA, EMA and international regulatory inspections.
• Proven track record managing complex remediation programs and quality transformations.
• Experience leading cross-functional and multi-site initiatives within global pharmaceutical organizations.
• Experience participating in mergers, acquisitions, site integrations or large-scale organizational change programs is advantageous.
