act digital is expanding its DevOps and Cloud & Infrastructure capability in Portugal. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and operating AWS-based infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, and CI/CD tooling to empower development teams.

You will work across Terraform/Terragrunt, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, and monitoring stacks to ensure scalable and resilient systems. This position is based in Lisbon, with opportunities in a fast-growing, international engineering group.

Qualificações

• Must-have cloud AWS experience incl EKS, EC2, S3.
• Proficient in Kubernetes and Helm workflows.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD.

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy and evolve AWS infrastructures and EKS clusters.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Administer Kubernetes platforms and enable developer autonomy.
• Implement observability, monitoring and incident response practices.
• Support performance testing and scalability while ensuring security controls.

Job Description

You will join our team of experts in DevOps, and work in collaboration with development teams, working both on the Cloud infrastructure and on the tools that enable developers to independently deploy and operate their applications.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design, deploy and evolve AWS infrastructures.


• Industrialize infrastructure using Terraform / Terragrunt.


• Administer and evolve Kubernetes / AWS EKS environments.


• Participate in application migrations to AWS.


• Automate environment provisioning and configuration.


• Ensure platform availability, resilience and scalability.

CI/CD & DevOps

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.


• Develop GitHub Actions workflows.


• Participate in the migration of Jenkins pipelines to GitHub Actions.


• Implement automated deployment processes.


• Work with ArgoCD / GitOps depending on the team.


• Industrialize deployments using Helm / Helmfile.


• Create reusable modules and tools for development teams.

Kubernetes & Platform Engineering

• Administer EKS clusters.


• Deploy and maintain microservices.


• Optimize scaling mechanisms.


• Work on networking, ingress, gateway and service discovery.


• Support developers with application containerization and deployment.


• Improve the platform to enable development teams to become more autonomous.

Observability & SRE

• Implement and improve platform monitoring.


• Define metrics, dashboards and alerts.


• Participate in incident detection and resolution.


• Work on application performance and resilience.


• Identify bottlenecks and anticipate incidents.


• Participate in Chaos Engineering and resilience testing initiatives.

Performance & Scalability

In a streaming environment, some teams work on very high-load challenges:

• Conduct Load Testing campaigns.


• Test platform behavior during traffic peaks.


• Identify application and infrastructure bottlenecks.


• Optimize scaling mechanisms.


• Support developers with performance-related challenges.


• Help prepare platforms for high-audience events.

Security

• Integrate security requirements into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.


• Work with IAM, OIDC, SAML and access management.


• Participate in the integration of Cloud security tools.


• Automate security controls.


• Contribute to securing infrastructure and applications.
