A leading firm in DeFi is seeking an Associate to manage DeFi trade and investment operations. Responsibilities include overseeing vault setups, coordinating trade executions, and troubleshooting bottlenecks. The ideal candidate has a quantitative background, experience with on-chain transactions, and a strong problem-solving mindset. Qualificações

DeFi Trade and Investment Operations Associate

We are looking for a DeFi and smart contract enthusiast to work closely with our portfolio management team on DeFi operations. Our ethos is to develop robust, scalable solutions that improve the efficiency of the business and accuracy of our data. You will work in a close knit team where the impact of operations is valued and recognised as being integral to the success and growth of Avantgarde.

Responsibilities

• Manage wallet and vault set up & multisig processes maintaining records
• Shadow the DeFi Trade Ops, Research and Security Advisor, eventually assume end to end responsibility for on-chain trading activity adhering to process and best execution parameters
• Work with portfolio management team and with third party vault owners to coordinate trade execution and signing processes, adhering to specific internal trading parameters for timeliness and best execution across heterogenous groups of vaults
• Review established trading parameters and suggest improvements
• Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, delays, and other problems presented throughout the trade life cycle
• Manage post trade record keeping processes and assist in the analysis of trading performance, reporting results and observations to the COO
• Responsible for drafting new processes and improving existing processes using gained experience to drive continuous improvement
• Assist with setting up new on-chain vaults and bespoke wallet infrastructure
• Assist with periodic reconciliation of vault pricing and valuation data from data providers

Asset Management Operations

• Assist with BAU cadence of vault operations, including: rebalancing, NAV verification from administrator, and performance reporting
• Assist in development of monitoring & alerting tools and ongoing risk management processes
• Manage quarterly revenue claim process across all vault infrastructure ensuring timely execution, recon and reporting
• Manage weekly AUM reporting process for the business
• Ability to research and problem solve operational needs for clients and continuously improve operational processes where possible
• Assist with client onboarding or requests

Requirements

• High level of integrity you will have delegated permissions to act on vaults so acting with integrity is paramount
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Detail oriented mindset, with an understanding of the importance of documentation and record keeping e.g. trade logs and evidencing the adherence to written procedures
• Enthusiasm for DeFi and crypto, with an understanding of the on-chain ecosystem
• Hands on experience with on-chain transactions and smart contract interactions
• Experience with best execution processes and trading cost analysis
• Self-starter with a strong desire to drive efficiency in internal processes, curious to learn from others in order to build new systematised processes
• Good communicator and critical thinker with a strong work ethic
• Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multitask to achieve multiple deadlines
• Flexibility to be online and support operationally 7 days a week as needed

Preferred

• Demonstrated experience with Gnosis SAFE infrastructure and multisignature hardware wallets
• Knowledge of DeFi smart contracts and function calls on prominent DeFI protocols
• Preference for 3 - 5 years prior experience as Trading Assistant or Trade Support within crypto and/or on the buyside in TradFi
• Experience with Zodiac Roles and vault permissions a plus
• Have working knowledge in Python and an interest to expand your technical skills

Qualifications

• Quantitative academic background and comfortable fetching and transforming data
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python for task automation a plus
• Ability to read smart contracts a plus
