Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Data Solution Architect in Porto, Portugal, to focus on architecture and solution design rather than development. The candidate will transform business requirements into scalable, governance-compliant solutions and document them for global stakeholders.

The role emphasizes architecture governance, API design, data analytics familiarity, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multilingual environment. This is an on-site position in Porto.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect focused on software application and solution design.
Strong knowledge of Application Architecture and Solution Design.
Knowledge of architecture artefacts and deliverables.
Experience with API design and specification.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and assess fit within reference architecture.
Design and document logical solution architectures with impacts on existing architecture.
Design and specify APIs according to business and technical requirements.
Identify need for new applications or microservices.
Assess architectural impact and ensure alignment with standards.
Document and defend solution architecture designs to stakeholders and global teams.
Ensure architecture documentation complies with governance rules and standards.
Communicate security, application and technology architecture principles clearly.
Promote adoption of architecture and security standards across teams.
Collaborate with business, technology and architecture teams to define solutions.
Ensure quality, consistency and alignment of deliverables.
Follow architecture governance processes.
