Damia is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Portugal-based team to drive end-to-end data science projects, build predictive models, and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in statistics and machine learning, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with big data tools. Collaboration with product and engineering teams is essential.

Qualificações

• B.Sc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience designing and implementing machine learning models.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with various machine learning algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with SQL and data manipulation tools (Pandas, NumPy).
• Solid foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression, time series, and experiments.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking to translate problems into solutions.
• Proficiency in data visualization libraries for meaningful visuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to present complex findings.
• Experience with Big Data tools.
• Currently living in Portugal and legally authorized to work in the country.

Responsabilidades

• Data Exploration and Preprocessing: collect, clean, and transform large data sets.
• Statistical Analysis and Modeling: apply methods and develop predictive models.
• Machine Learning: develop and implement algorithms to solve business problems.
• Feature Engineering: extract features from structured and unstructured data.
• Model Development and Evaluation: train and optimize models with state-of-the-art methods.
• Data Visualization: present results clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: work with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
• Research and Innovation: stay updated with latest data science advancements.
