Shakers is seeking a freelance Data Scientist (Machine Learning & MLOps) in Porto to join a newly created data unit within a large European group. You will work with Python, SQL and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to build end-to-end ML models that feed business decisions across multiple sectors.

This is a long-term engagement with direct stakeholder exposure and opportunities to scale data-driven products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML lifecycle management.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and interpret large datasets to generate actionable business insights.
• Build, deploy and monitor end-to-end machine learning models.
• Design feature engineering strategies and robust data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data reliability and translate business needs into analytics questions.
• Champion MLOps/LLMOps best practices and promote a data-driven mindset.
