Novobanco in Porto is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Onboarding & Economic Crime Prevention team. You will identify, analyze, and model data to inform decisions across customer lifecycle, KYC, and risk controls.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical opportunities, own analytical modules, and develop insights, reporting, and detection models using Python or R and SQL.

Qualificações

• 2-5 years of data science, analytics, or data-driven risk management experience.
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Understanding descriptive analysis, correlations, hypothesis testing, and segmentation.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You Will Need

Must haves:

• Experience2-5 yearsin data science, analytics, or data-driven risk management roles.
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Proficiency inprogramming languages such as Python or R.
• Proficiency in SQL
• Understanding descriptive analysis, correlations, hypothesis testing, and segmentation.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Good to have:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience in financial crime, fraud, AML, KYC, or banking environments is highly desirable.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to lead initiatives and drive outcomes independently.
