Fortil is seeking a data engineer to design, build and optimize scalable data platforms. You will develop robust pipelines, collect and analyze large datasets, and ensure data integrity across cloud-based systems.

You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts, ensuring security, privacy, and compliance while documenting architectures and workflows. This role requires hands-on experience with Big Data tech and modern data processing frameworks.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms for data engineering, preferably AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala and advanced SQL.
• Experience with Big Data tech such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, and related ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and distributed architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance data platforms.
• Develop and implement robust data pipelines and integration solutions for efficient data flow.
• Collect, process, and analyze large and complex datasets from diverse sources.
• Design and implement data processing workflows using modern Big Data frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance via access controls and encryption.
• Extract, transform, and load data from databases, files, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Monitor performance and optimize systems for scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Contribute to evolution of data architecture and engineering best practices.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for data models, pipelines, and platform architecture.
