Metyis in Porto is growing and seeks a Data Engineering Associate with 3-6 years' experience to join our global Data and Analytics team at the Digital Campus.

You will diagnose problems, work on ETL, and develop scalable data solutions while collaborating with data scientists, clients, and product teams. Strong Python/Scala, SQL, and cloud knowledge, plus excellent English communication, are required.

Qualificações

• 3–6 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python or Scala and scripting skills.
• Solid SQL knowledge required.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.

Metyis is growing! We are looking for a Data Engineering Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join our global Data and Analytics team at our Digital Campus in Porto.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose problems, disaggregate issues, develop hypotheses and execute relevant solutions
• Undertake processing of structured and unstructured data
• Undertake work related to ETL activities
• Development of data processing codes for automation & building scalable solutions
• Develop and maintain data solutions for clients / projects
• Communicate and interact with clients at the executive level
• Collaborate with data science, reporting and product development teams

What You Will Bring

• 3 – 6 years of experience in the field of data engineering
• Education: Graduate degree or higher with courses in programming, data analytics
• Well-developed Logical Reasoning, Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving abilities
• Good programming skill in Python/scala or any scripting language
• Good knowledge of SQL is a required
• Basic knowledge and understanding of big data
• Knowledge on any one of the cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP
• Good to have GIT, CI-CD knowledge
• Strong business acumen and appreciation for business processes is desired
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language is a must
