Metyis is seeking a Data Engineering Associate to join our global Data and Analytics team at the Digital Campus in Porto. You will work on end-to-end data handling, from acquisition to visualization, collaborating with data scientists and client teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python/Scala skills, and experience with cloud platforms, enabling development of scalable data solutions for projects with major clients like HUGO BOSS.

Qualificações

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering
• Graduate degree or higher with coursework in programming and data analytics
• Strong logical reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving
• Proficient in Python/Scala or similar scripting language
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Basic knowledge of big data
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Git and CI/CD knowledge
• Strong business acumen and understanding of business processes
• Excellent written and oral English skills

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose problems, disaggregate issues, develop hypotheses and execute relevant solutions
• Undertake processing of structured and unstructured data
• Undertake work related to ETL activities
• Development of data processing codes for automation and building scalable solutions
• Develop and maintain data solutions for clients / projects
• Communicate and interact with clients at the executive level
• Collaborate with data science, reporting and product development teams

What you will bring

• 3 – 6 years of experience in the field of data engineering
• Education: Graduate degree or higher with courses in programming, data analytics
• Well-developed Logical Reasoning, Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving abilities
• Good programming skill in Python/scala or any scripting language
• Good knowledge of SQL is a required
• Basic knowledge and understanding of big data
• Knowledge on any one of the cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP
• Good to have GIT, CI-CD knowledge
• Strong business acumen and appreciation for business processes is desired
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language is a must
