IT House, recruiting for a client in the logistics sector, is seeking a Data Engineer in Lisbon to design, build and operate ETL/ELT pipelines for AI and analytics. You will create data products from diverse sources and ensure data quality, lineage and governance across Azure and Snowflake environments.

The role requires collaboration with AI teams, data scientists and IT, with a hybrid Lisboa-based setup and a base salary plus meal allowance. Fluent English is mandatory.

Formación

• Strong experience with Python, SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT development and production data pipelines.
• Cloud-native data engineering on Azure with practical AWS exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Deep understanding of data quality, orchestration, observability, access management and governance.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, business stakeholders and local IT teams in international settings.
• Comfortable using GenAI software engineering tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade ETL and ELT pipelines for AI, analytics, reporting, and agentic workflow use cases.
• Create clean, documented, reusable data products from operational, customer, logistics, sales, and other enterprise data sources.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, lineage, metadata, and reliability patterns to ensure datasets are trustworthy and production-ready.
• Support integrations between Azure-based AI services, Snowflake, APIs, file-based sources, and selected AWS data services.
• Work with business and AI teams to translate use case requirements into data models, pipelines, and serving layers.
• Collaborate with local IT and data owners to onboard new data sources while respecting data protection, access control, and governance requirements.

PROFILE

• Strong experience with Python, SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT development, and production data pipelines.
• Cloud-native data engineering experience, ideally on Azure, with practical AWS exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Deep understanding of data quality, orchestration, observability, access management, and governance in enterprise environments.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, business stakeholders, and local IT teams in international settings.
• Comfortable using GenAI software engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar).
