Brix IT is seeking a Data Engineer / BI Developer to translate business needs into robust data solutions. You will work on data warehouses, ETL processes, dimensional modelling, and performance tuning, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver valuable insights.

The role involves hands-on development with SSIS/SSAS and Power BI, plus reporting via SSRS. Hybrid/remote options available to fit projects and client needs.

Qualificações

• 2+ years as a Data Engineer, BI Developer or similar role.
• Solid experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Hands-on ETL with SSIS.
• Knowledge of SSAS, tabular or multidimensional.
• Experience with Power BI: modelling, DAX and visuals.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Able to analyse requirements and propose solutions.
• Good troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Autonomy and problem-solving mindset.
• Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain and optimize data integration processes (SSIS).
• Design and evolve analytical data models for Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
• Develop analytical solutions with SSAS (tabular or multidimensional).
• Build and maintain reports/dashboards using Power BI and/or SSRS.
• Work with SQL Server, including T-SQL development and query optimization.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and governance throughout processes.
• Collaborate with business teams to analyse requirements and design solutions.
• Support junior profiles and resolve functional/technical challenges.
• Improve data models and data flows continuously.

About the role

We are looking for a professional with hands-on experience in data engineering, capable of translating business requirements into robust, scalable and well-structured technical solutions.

The selected candidate will work on Data Warehouse, ETL, dimensional modelling, reporting and SQL Server performance optimization, collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency and value.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize data integration processes, mainly using SSIS
• Design and evolve analytical data models for Data Warehouses and Data Marts
• Develop analytical solutions with SSAS, either tabular or multidimensional
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or SSRS
• Work with SQL Server, including T-SQL development and query optimization
• Ensure good practices regarding data quality, consistency, performance and governance
• Collaborate with business teams to analyse requirements and design technical solutions
• Support technical teams and junior profiles in solving functional and technical challenges
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data models, processes and data flows

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer or similar role
• Solid experience with SQL Server and T-SQL
• Hands‑on experience with ETL processes using SSIS
• Knowledge of SSAS, either tabular or multidimensional
• Experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and visualization
• Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and dimensional modelling
• Ability to analyse requirements and propose suitable technical solutions
• Good troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
• Autonomy, critical thinking and problem‑solving mindset
• Good communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with SSRS
• Knowledge of the Kimball methodology
• Experience in hybrid environments combining on‑premises and cloud solutions
• Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse
• Experience with CI/CD practices applied to data projects
• Knowledge of Data Quality, Data Governance or data lineage concepts
