Job summary

AUMOVIO SE in Portugal is seeking a Data Engineer to create and maintain automated data pipelines from multiple sources, model and transform data for BI and AI use cases. You will help centralize data across functions and leverage Databricks as the primary platform for scalable Lakehouse solutions.

The role requires strong SQL and Python, experience with Databricks and AWS, and knowledge of data governance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Applied Mathematics or similar field.
• 2+ years of experience as Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or AI/Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS and modern Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing and Delta Lake concepts.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of data governance, access control and data quality principles.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated data pipelines from various sources and business domains.
• Support BI and AI solutions through data modeling, transformation and preparation.
• Use Databricks as the primary platform to design, develop and operate Lakehouse solutions.
• Integrate data from SAP and other systems for analytics use cases.
• Enable and support AI initiatives with modern data architectures and emerging technologies.
• Maintain data reliability, integrity and availability with cybersecurity and IT security standards.
• Monitor and optimize ETL pipelines for reliability and performance.
• Stay up to date with data engineering and AI trends and apply them.
