Bosch in Lisbon is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud data pipelines ensuring high data availability, quality, and performance. You will work with Data Governance and Analytics to uphold robust data engineering standards.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, PySpark experience, and ideally Azure Databricks, with a focus on data quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working on data engineering projects in a professional environment.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in the cloud.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines in a cloud environment.
• Perform peer code reviews and participate in data pipeline validation and verification activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
• Support internal customers by ensuring data availability, data quality, and optimal pipeline and dashboard performance.
• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, concepts, and tooling.
• Collaborate with the Data Governance team to support the rollout and adoption of data quality concepts and tools.

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines in a cloud environment
• Perform peer code reviews and participate in data pipeline validation and verification activities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards, processes, and best practices
• Support internal customers by ensuring data availability, data quality, and optimal pipeline and dashboard performance
• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, concepts, and tooling

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• Proven experience working on data engineering projects in a professional environment
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in the cloud
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing

Technical Skills

• High proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong hands-on experience with PySpark
• Experience with Azure Databricks is a strong plus
• Solid understanding of software development principles (e.g., SOLID, clean code, version control)
