1GLOBAL is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team in Lisbon with exposure to multiple global offices. You will own ingestion, modeling, and transformation of high-volume data for reporting and analytics.

Key responsibilities include building scalable pipelines on AWS (S3/Glue/Athena), working with dbt and Airflow, and ensuring data accuracy and timeliness across the lake and warehouse. Collaboration and communication are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL with window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Experience building pipelines on AWS S3, Glue, and Athena or equivalent lake/warehouse stack.
• Practical understanding of data modelling from raw to conformed layers.
• Experience consuming from Kafka or similar streaming systems.
• Advanced Python for ETL, data manipulation, and automation.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement data models ensuring accuracy across raw and curated layers.
• Create and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data into the S3-based data lake.
• Consume from Kafka topics and handle late/duplicate/out-of-order events.
• Own data transformations in dbt with tests and documentation.
• Orchestrate and monitor pipelines in Airflow including retries and SLAs.
• Write efficient SQL for transformation logic and ad-hoc investigation.
• Contribute to data quality checks and flag anomalies before reporting.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth development processes.
