A global IT solutions company is seeking a Data Engineer (Azure) to build and maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality. The ideal candidate will have a university degree, 5+ years of experience in cloud environments, proficiency in SQL and Python, and strong problem-solving skills. This hybrid role requires working in the office 2-3 times a week.

Who are we looking for?

Data Engineer (Azure)

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines in Azure.
• Data Source Integration: Connect and integrate data from internal and external systems, both structured and unstructured.
• Performance Optimisation: Ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability of data solutions.
• Collaboration with Analysts and Data Scientists: Work together to ensure data is available, understandable, and ready for analysis.
• Data Governance and Quality: Implement practices for data quality, lineage, and data security.
• Automation and Monitoring: Create monitoring mechanisms and alerts to ensure continuous pipeline operation.
• Technical Documentation: Document architecture, data flows, and technical decisions.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a DataEngineer in cloud environments (Azure).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database,
• Azure Databricks, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD of pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python. Knowledge of Scala or Spark is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and agile environments.

Certifications (Valued)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

Languages

• Portuguese and English (mandatory)
