Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Data Engineer for VNG–Cais Gaia, Vila Nova de Gaia. The role focuses on leading data-pipeline backlogs, delivering cloud-based data solutions, and preparing industrialisation while coordinating with internal teams.

The position combines advisory and delivery duties in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Geneva. You will work with lakehouse architectures (Iceberg/S3) and migrate data in line with a cloud migration strategy.

Qualificações

• Experience in data engineering on cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with data pipeline implementation and optimisation.
• Understanding of data platform architecture to translate decisions into work packages.
• Experience with migration-related implementation within cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with lakehouse/medallion architecture built on Apache Iceberg and S3 tables.
• Ability to contribute to standards and blueprints and enable internal teams.
• Client- and business-oriented with strong planning and organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to operate in a hybrid advisory + delivery model with regular on-site presence in Geneva.
