What is this challenge about

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable data-driven architectures and end-to-end data pipelines, primarily across public cloud platforms.
• Manage and provision cloud infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform to ensure automated and repeatable deployments.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex data models, database structures, and Big Data processing workflows across multiple environments.
• Evaluate, select, and implement optimal SQL and NoSQL database technologies tailored to specific business requirements, data structures, and performance needs.
• Orchestrate complex data workflows and pipeline dependencies, leveraging tools such as Apache Airflow to ensure reliable data delivery.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in data engineering roles.
• Proven experience working with public cloud platforms, with a specific focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Hands-on proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Practical experience working with and building data-driven architectures, preferably within public cloud environments.
• Practical experience writing and optimizing querying languages, specifically SQL, for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Big Data concepts, enterprise data modeling practices, and tools within the Big Data ecosystem (such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Apache Hive, and Apache Spark).
• Advanced knowledge across multiple SQL and NoSQL data environments, backed by a strong architectural understanding of why and when to select a specific storage or database solution.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is a significant plus.
• Fluency in English.
