Ampleshift is seeking a data engineer to join the client's data team in Lisbon to build and maintain a data platform on Microsoft Azure. You will design and operate ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and ensure governance and quality across the ecosystem.

The role requires hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics, plus the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work autonomously in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualificações

• Experience in data engineering within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ETL/ELT pipeline design and maintenance).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources, APIs, relational databases, files, and other systems.
• Strong attention to data quality, consistency, and governance.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability for on-site work, 5 days a week, in Lisbon.

The role sits within the client's data team and is central to building and maintaining their data platform on Microsoft Azure. Applications are welcome from Junior to Senior level, the assigned degree of autonomy and responsibility will be adjusted to the experience demonstrated during the selection process.

Requirements:

• Professional experience in data engineering within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem;
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ETL/ELT pipeline design and maintenance);
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics;
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources, APIs, relational databases, files, and other external and internal systems;
• Strong attention to detail and rigor in data quality, consistency, and governance;
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Availability for on-site work, 5 days a week, in Lisbon.

Nice to have (not eliminatory):

• Professional experience with Microsoft Fabric;
• API development experience (not just consumption), ideally with Azure API Management and .NET.
