IBM Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer specializing in data platforms to design and implement data driven solutions on Big Data technologies. You will develop applications, APIs, and pipelines with a focus on Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL in production environments.

The role requires 2–3 years experience in data engineering or related roles, strong cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP), and the ability to translate business needs into scalable data architectures.

Qualificações

• 2–3 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related data platform role with hands-on technical experience.
• Solid Snowflake knowledge and modern data stack tools (dbt, SQL, Python).
• Ability to develop and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and SQL queries in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including object storage, compute services, and IAM; version control workflows (GitLab or equivalent).
• Understanding of data architecture principles and Medallion-style data models.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer specializing in Data Platforms, you will develop applications on Big Data technologies, including API development. This role requires a strong foundation in traditional Application Development, along with knowledge of Analytics libraries, open-source Natural Language Processing, and statistical and big data computing libraries. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Develop Applications: Develop applications on Big Data technologies, including API development, utilizing expertise in traditional Application Development and knowledge of Analytics libraries.
• Write and Debug Code: Write and debug complex code, applying technical abilities to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Apply Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of open-source Natural Language Processing, and statistical and big data computing libraries to deliver robust data platforms.
• Implement Big Data Technologies: Implement Big Data technologies to support the development of data-driven solutions.
• Deliver High-Quality Solutions: Deliver high-quality solutions, leveraging exceptional technical abilities to meet business needs.

This position is for Hakkoda, an IBM company, a Snowflake specialist that joined IBM through acquisition last year.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 2-3 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related data platform role with hands-on technical experience
• Solid working knowledge of Snowflake (warehouses, tables, basic security, RBAC) and modern data stack tools (dbt, SQL, Python)
• Ability to develop and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and SQL queries in production environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including object storage, compute services, and IAM; version control workflows (GitLab or equivalent)
• Understanding of data architecture principles and ability to implement components of Medallion-style data models

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Hands-on experience with dbt (materializations, testing, documentation) in a team environment
• Familiarity with Snowflake advanced features (Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables) or infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
• Experience working on customer-facing projects or consulting engagements
