Capgemini in Dublin, Ireland, seeks an End-to-End Test Engineer to validate Nokia MSS and MGW platforms across customer environments.

You will design, execute, and manage test activities covering CS voice, signaling, interconnects, migrations, and interworking in 2G/3G/4G/IMS networks. Strong telecom testing knowledge and English at C1 are required.

YOUR ROLE

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Customer Project Site)

The End-to-End Test Engineer is responsible for validating and assuring the quality, performance, and functionality of Nokia Mobile Softswitch (MSS) and Media Gateway (MGW) platforms across customer environments. The role involves designing, executing, and managing end-to-end test activities covering Circuit Switched (CS) voice services, interconnects, signaling protocols, network migrations, and interoperability scenarios. The engineer will work closely with solution architects, deployment engineers, operations teams, and customers to ensure successful implementation and acceptance of network services. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of telecom core networks, signaling protocols, voice services, and testing methodologies within 2G, 3G, 4G, and IMS environments.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Design

• Develop End-to-End Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Cases for Nokia MSS and MGW platforms.
• Define functional, integration, interoperability, regression, and acceptance test scenarios.
• Review High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and customer requirements to create comprehensive test coverage.
• Prepare test environments and validation procedures.

Test Execution

• Execute End-to-End testing activities for Nokia MSS and MGW solutions.
• Validate voice services, signaling flows, routing configurations, and network integrations.
• Perform acceptance testing during network deployments, upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
• Verify customer-specific requirements are fully met before service acceptance.

Network Validation

• Validate Circuit Switched voice services across:
  • 2G GSM
  • 3G UMTS
  • CS Core Networks
  • Interconnect Networks
• Verify call setup, call release, supplementary services, roaming, emergency services, and interworking scenarios.
• Perform interoperability testing with external operators and third-party network elements.

Troubleshooting & Defect Management

• Investigate and analyze failed test cases.
• Perform protocol trace analysis and fault isolation.
• Work with engineering and integration teams to resolve identified defects.
• Maintain detailed defect tracking and resolution reports.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain:
  • Test Plans
  • Test Cases
  • Test Reports
  • Acceptance Reports
  • Defect Logs
  • Validation Documentation
• Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation complies with customer and project standards.

Customer Acceptance Support

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Participate in customer acceptance activities and technical reviews.
• Provide testing evidence and sign-off documentation.
• Collaborate with operations teams during service launch and transition to production.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications testing, validation, integration, or core network engineering.
• Proven experience with Nokia MSS and MGW platforms.
• Experience performing End-to-End testing in mobile core network environments.
• Strong knowledge of voice services and signaling protocols.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex telecom network issues.
• Experience working in customer-facing project environments.
• English proficiency at C1 level (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Experience with test documentation and customer acceptance processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nokia certifications related to MSS, MGW, or Core Networks.
• Experience supporting Tier-1 Mobile Network Operators.
• Understanding of VoLTE, IMS, and CSFB services.
• Experience in network modernization and migration projects.
• Knowledge of automated testing methodologies is considered an advantage.
