We are in need of a skilled and experienced Contract Interpreter to join our team in Braga Portugal. As an Interpreter you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your main duty will be to interpret spoken or written language from one language to another ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between individuals who do not speak the same language
• Interpret spoken or written language from one language to another with precision and clarity
• Translate documents and materials as needed
• Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences and other events
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
• Familiarize yourself with relevant terminology in different fields such as legal, medical or technical
• Ensure cultural sensitivity and understanding when interpreting for diverse audiences
• Collaborate with other interpreters if necessary for accuracy and support

Requirements

• Proven experience as an interpreter in a professional setting
• Fluency in at least two languages including English
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret accurately and quickly
• Strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt accordingly
• Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and procedures legal medical technical
• Time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Professional demeanor and confidentiality
• Bachelors degree in TranslationInterpretation or related field is preferred
• Flexible availability for work on a contract basis

Salary

This is a contract position offering a competitive salary of 1800$ per month. Please note that no accommodation will be provided.
