ForceShield is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a contract role in Funchal, Madeira. The successful candidate will operate heavy machinery to excavate, move and grade earth, and perform daily equipment checks while ensuring safety on site.

This position requires a valid excavator license and at least 2 years’ experience, with the ability to work outdoors, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with the team. Accommodation is provided for the contract duration.

Qualificações

• Valid license and certification to operate excavator machinery.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an excavator operator.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair procedures for excavators.
• Physically fit with the ability to work in outdoor environments and lift heavy objects.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• High attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends if required.

Responsabilidades

• Operate various types of excavator machinery according to project requirements.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures at all times.
• Perform daily inspections on equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions immediately.
• Load and unload materials from trucks using the excavator bucket or other attachments as needed.
• Dig trenches, level terrain, clear debris and perform other excavation tasks as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure proper storage of equipment when not in use.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time within budget constraints.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, coworkers and contractors.
