Concrete Worker

A construction company in Funchal is seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Worker to join our team. As a Concrete Worker, you will be responsible for preparing, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces according to project specifications. This is a full-time position with an urgent need to fill.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials
• Set up forms for pouring concrete and ensure they are properly aligned
• Prepare surfaces for concrete by cleaning, leveling, and compacting
• Pour concrete into forms using equipment such as wheelbarrows or pumps
• Smooth and finish surfaces using hand or power tools
• Monitor curing process and make adjustments as needed
• Follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with concrete in a construction setting
• Understanding of construction principles and techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently as needed
• Valid work visa for Funchal (or ability to obtain one)

Salary:

The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
