Bosch Portugal is seeking a deeply technical AI specialist to tackle advanced image processing and computer vision challenges in an industrial setting. You will shape AI-driven vision systems that transform factory automation and manufacturing, identifying production bottlenecks and delivering measurable performance improvements on the shop floor.

Qualificações

  • Proven experience in machine learning model development and optimization, ideally with a strong focus on industrial computer vision.
  • Hands-on experience applying image processing and computer vision in industrial, manufacturing or robotics environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Deep Learning and experience developing vision models for anomaly detection, semantic segmentation and classification.

Responsabilidades

  • Identify key business and production challenges and solve them by applying effective ML and computer vision methods.
  • Design, develop and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision models for industrial applications, including quality inspection and robotic guidance.
  • Work on vision tasks such as anomaly detection, segmentation and image classification.
  • Architect robust, production-ready AI solutions with seamless integration to existing systems.
  • Develop scalable data pipelines capable of processing real-time industrial image and sensor data.
  • Deploy, monitor and continuously improve solutions in live production environments for reliability and impact.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers, stakeholders, and on-site experts to deliver end-to-end vision systems.
  • Work with a global team of AI and machine vision professionals across locations.

Are you a deeply technical AI specialist passionate about applying advanced image processing and computer vision to solve real-world challenges in the industrial environment?

Join us and help shape the next generation of AI-driven vision systems, transforming industrial automation and manufacturing. In this role, you will identify critical production challenges and develop cutting-edge vision solutions that deliver measurable impact directly on the factory floor.

Your contribution to something big
  • Identify key business and production challenges and solve them by applying the most effective machine learning and computer vision methods.
  • Design, develop and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision models for industrial applications, including automated quality inspection, robotic guidance and process monitoring.
  • Work on vision tasks such as anomaly detection, semantic segmentation and image classification.
  • Architect robust, production-ready AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing tools and systems.
  • Develop scalable data pipelines capable of processing real-time industrial image and sensor data.
  • Deploy, monitor and continuously improve your solutions in live production environments, ensuring high performance, reliability and sustainable business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with ML engineers, business stakeholders, and on-site hardware and software experts to deliver robust end-to-end vision systems.
  • Work as part of a global team of AI, optical and machine vision experts, contributing to knowledge exchange, best practices and standardization across international locations.
  • Support the deployment, scaling and continuous improvement of advanced vision solutions across manufacturing sites worldwide.
  • Act as a global technical expert for industrial vision applications, providing guidance, best practices and support to international project teams.
  • Act as the team's AI expert by scouting emerging technologies and driving the adoption of state-of-the-art AI and machine learning methods.
Qualifications
Education
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience & Know-how
  • Proven experience in machine learning model development and optimization, ideally with a strong focus on industrial computer vision.
  • Hands‑on experience applying image processing and computer vision in industrial, manufacturing or robotics environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Deep Learning and experience developing vision models for applications such as anomaly detection, semantic segmentation and classification.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV and MLflow.
  • Solid understanding of system architecture and experience building scalable data pipelines capable of handling large volumes of industrial data.
  • Experience with code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Familiarity with industrial vision hardware and software is a strong plus, particularly smart cameras and MVTec products such as HALCON or MERLIC.

  • Proficient in English.
