Job summary

Convatec is seeking a Collections Specialist to help maintain customer experience while contributing to the cash flow target. You will contact external customers, reduce days sales outstanding, and manage delinquent accounts per policy.

The role requires experience in collections, SAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills. Hybrid work is available with 1 day in the office weekly, and English/Italian language skills are valued.

Qualifications

• University degree or higher is preferred in finance or related fields.
• Finance qualification is advantageous for role responsibilities.
• Experience in collections processes and SAP transactions is expected.

Responsibilities

• Contact external customers and follow up aged receivables via calls and email.
• Reduce payment cycle and ensure payment terms are respected.
• Issue reminders per Convatec policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Collections Team Lead to manage accounts per SLAs.
• Respond to customer payment queries and verify receipts.
• Investigate shortpayments or overpayments and document outcomes.
• Notify Team Lead of cash flow issues or unresponsive customers.
• Identify refunds and write-off requests for processing.
• Negotiate payment arrangements for delinquent accounts.
• Prepare trackers and assist with starting legal procedures as needed.
• Record outcomes in collections tool for audit trails.

Position Overview

Maintain a high level of customer experience and contribute to the Cash Flow target of our Group. Reduce receivables in the open balances and improve the payment behavior of our customers.

Maintain a high level of customer experience and contribute to the Cash Flow target of our Group. Reduce receivables in the open balances and improve the payment behavior of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact our external customers and follow-up all aged receivables via call, email and using the collections tool
• Reduce payment cycle and to ensure the customers respect the payment terms agreed
• Issue reminders in accordance with ConvaTec policies and procedures
• Work with the Collections Team Lead to pro-actively manage customer accounts as required by the SLA’s
• Respond to general queries from customers regarding payments
• Research and verify receipt of payments and investigate residuals (shortpayments or overpayment)
• Notify the Collections Team Lead regarding cash flow problems or unresponsive customers
• Identify and process refund requests
• Identify and process write-off requests
• Negotiate and implement payment arrangement plans for delinquent customers in accordance with the ConvaTec GOA
• Prepare trackers and assist with starting legal procedures
• Receive notification of customer bankruptcy, verify obtained information and alert the Collections Team Lead for further escalation;Properly document the outcome of any contact with the customer in the collections tool to ensure audit trail and customer relations
• Participate in review calls as needed
• Flag and required updates ConvaTec policies and work instructions and send to the Collections Team Lead and the Global Process owner for approval

Skills & Experience

• Experience in Collections, preferably
• Practical knowledge of SAP, in transactions used by collections
• Good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, graphs, formulas, etc.)
• Knowing Power BI is a plus

Qualifications/Education

• University Degree preferred

• English: C1/C2
