Vodafone is seeking a Cloud Operations Expert to join the Cloud team, responsible for the operations of cloud environments used to virtualize network functions in Vodafone’s core network.

You will manage VMware vSphere, Tanzu, NSX, and RHOCP environments, ensure security, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate changes across markets. Strong collaboration and English proficiency are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent in English and good team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and operate a mixed environment of VMware vSphere, Tanzu, NSX, and RHOCP.
• Maintain storage and network technologies in cloud environments.
• Handle incidents, troubleshoot, and perform incident management for cloud platforms.
• Implement security policies and remediate vulnerabilities on platforms.
• Coordinate change management, fault management, and service requests with design and delivery teams.
• Evaluate new versions, firmware, and patches; plan upgrades with cross-market impact.
• Drive platform evolution and future-ready solutions with vendors and design teams.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across markets and teams.
• Organize and manage tasks to meet deadlines with a multi-market perspective.
• Handle incident, change, and problem management for multi-vendor cloud platforms.
• Lifecycle management of diverse cloud infrastructure across markets.
• Maintain relationship with design, engineering, and internal customers across markets.

What You’ll Do

Cloud Operations Expert will be part of the Cloud team, responsible for the operations of the Cloud Operations team and the cloud environments used to virtualize network functions in Vodafone’s core network.

• Managing and supporting a mixed environment of VMware vSphere, VMware Tanzu, VMware NSX, RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP)
• Good knowledge of Storage and Network technologies
• Managing critical situations by performing troubleshooting, incident management, and error handling for cloud platforms
• Implementing security policies and remediating vulnerabilities on platforms following best practices and company procedures
• Discussing, evaluating, and organizing change management, fault management, and service request processes with design and delivery teams, ensuring alignment across markets
• Evaluating new versions, firmware, and patches; organizing and scheduling major upgrades and security patch implementations with consideration of cross-market impacts
• Discussing platform evolution and technology roadmap with vendors and design teams, driving adoption of future-ready solutions
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across markets, design teams, vendors, and internal customers
• Organizing and managing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines, while maintaining a strategic, multi-market perspective.
• Incident, change, and problem management for multi-vendor cloud platforms including RHOCP
• Life cycle management of diverse cloud infrastructure across markets.
• Relationship management with design teams, engineering teams, and internal customers across multiple markets
