GBL Tech is seeking an Expert Cloud Engineer in Porto to own complex Google Cloud Platform architectures within an enterprise environment. You will focus on core cloud engineering, network architecture, and platform governance, operating autonomously as a cloud specialist.

Responsibilities include designing secure, highly available GCP infrastructure, leading cloud governance, and mentoring engineers while leveraging Terraform and GKE to optimize cloud solutions.

Qualificações

• Expert-level cloud engineering experience with autonomy in complex GCP ecosystems.
• Strong hands-on cloud networking, routing, and VPC management.
• Practical Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure and GKE/Kubernetes.

The Role

We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to take ownership of complex Google Cloud Platform architectures within an enterprise environment. This role is strictly focused on core cloud engineering, network architecture, and platform governance rather than standard DevOps pipeline management. As a fully autonomous cloud specialist, you will design, secure, and optimize highly available GCP infrastructure while providing technical leadership and architectural guidance.

Your Mission:

• Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Design, build, and maintain highly available, resilient, and secure enterprise cloud environments natively on GCP.
• Network & Security Governance: Take charge of cloud network design, hybrid connectivity, security policies, cost optimization, and overall platform governance.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure autonomously using structured Terraform configurations.
• Container Orchestration: Manage containerized environments with a strong focus on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Act as the primary technical authority for GCP, mentoring team members, enforcing cloud best practices, and working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

What We Are Looking For:

• Expertise Level: Proven track record as an Expert Cloud Engineer with total autonomy in managing complex Google Cloud Platform ecosystems.
• Networking Expertise: Deep hands-on proficiency in cloud networking concepts, routing, security perimeters, and VPC management.
• IaC & Containers: Strong, practical experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and GKE/Kubernetes management.
• Version Control & Collaboration: Solid familiarity with Git workflows (GitHub) and collaborative engineering practices.
