EY Portugal is seeking a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure-based cloud infrastructure for financial services projects. You will work in an Agile environment, partnering with development, operations, and security teams to deliver robust, secure solutions.

The role emphasizes automation, IaC, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform. You will translate complex requirements into reliable pipelines and contribute to architecture decisions

Qualificações

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps or Cloud Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM, Terraform, or similar).
• Solid knowledge of Linux environments and scripting (e.g., Bash).
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into automated processes.
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to networking, permissions, authentication, and cloud environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The Opportunity

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions for enterprise applications within the Financial Services sector.

The project focuses on the design and operation of modern cloud infrastructures, leveraging Microsoft Azure, containerization, and Kubernetes, enabling continuous delivery and resilient architectures. You will work in a collaborative Agile environment, supporting the full application lifecycle - from infrastructure design to deployment and operations - ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

Your Role

As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will play a key role in automation, system reliability, and enabling development teams to deliver software efficiently. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams, contributing to architectural decisions and best practices.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps);

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Experience with other cloud providers (AWS, GCP, OCI);
• Familiarity with additional CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, TravisCI);
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices;
• Experience with DevSecOps practices;
• Experience managing virtual machines / compute resources;
• Exposure to on‑premises or hybrid environments;
• Familiarity with bare‑metal infrastructure;
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments;
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills;
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
