Job summary

DELSK Group Portugal is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead end-to-end management of hotel real estate refurbishments in Évora or Lisbon. You will oversee planning, budgeting, licensing, and stakeholder coordination across design teams, contractors, and operators.

The role requires 5+ years on-site experience, strong contract management, and excellent English communication. A valid driving license and sharp analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with on-site experience of 5+ years.
• Solid knowledge of project management, budgets and site inspections.
• Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with hotel/commercial refurbishments.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driving license and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• End to end project management from planning to closure for hotel real estate projects.
• Analyze architecture and MEP plans; forecast costs and schedules; report risks.
• Manage bidding processes and analyze construction budgets; negotiate with stakeholders.
• Navigate licensing with public entities and coordinate with design teams and contractors.
• Conduct technical visits, prepare reports, and lead weekly stakeholder meetings.

Job description

We are recruiting a Civil Engineer with solid work experience to integrate our Engineering & Construction team. The core function will be to manage the construction renovation of real estate projects, in particular Hotels.

Job Description:

- End to End Project Management, overseeing every stage of the project - planning, execution, monitoring & control and closure; Management and Coordination ofall contracted stakeholders involved: Project Design Teams, Contractors, Supervision Teams, Hotel Operators and other contracted parties involved.

- Analyze Architecture & Engineering/MEP plans;

- Forecast costs (hard costs and soft costs), schedules and report other risks involved regarding project execution;

- Good knowledge of hospitality and commercial buildings construction legislation. Experience with entities such as Turismo de Portugal and other regulatory entities;

- Manage bidding processes and analyze construction budgets; Negotiation with related stakeholders;

- Acquaint issues related to the licensing process of real estate projects (City Halls and other Public Entities);

- Contract management, perform technical visits and elaborate reports;

- Conduct and participate in weekly meetings with stakeholders.

- Based in Évora or Lisbon

Qualifications & Personal Skills:

- Degree in Civil Engineering;

- +5 years of on-site work experience;

- Solid skills in construction contract & project management, budget analysis, work inspection & supervision (cost/quality/schedule);

- Strong negotiation skills;

- Good technical knowledge of Hotel buildings, Commercial buildings & refurbishment in general;

- Fluency in English (mandatory);

- Excellent organization and analytical skills;

- Drivers license.
