Join Celfocus in Lisbon as an Application Security Trainee, supporting the security team to identify vulnerabilities across software projects. You will engage in secure code reviews, help with penetration testing, and learn security best practices across the development lifecycle.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with mentoring through the Celfocus Academy, gain hands-on experience, and grow toward an impactful role in application security within a collaborative team.

• Less than 1 year of effective IT experience (Celfocus Academy Opportunity).
• Eagerness to learn and grow in security.

Responsabilidades

• Conducting threat modeling for new/existing Celfocus products/projects.
• Analyzing requirements and communicating with software development teams.
• Penetration testing of web applications.
• Conducting manual and automated testing.

The opportunity

As an Application Security Trainee, you will assist the security team in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in software applications. Your responsibilities may include supporting secure code reviews, participating in penetration testing, researching common threats, and helping implement security best practices across the development lifecycle.

Your day-to-day

• Conducting analysis and threat modeling for new and existing Celfocus products/projects.




• Analyzing and discussing requirements; interacting with all participants in the software development process.




• Penetration testing web applications.




• Conducting both manual and automated testing.




• Participating in the creation and development of the company's products at all stages of their life cycle

What you’ll bring

• Less than 1 year of effective experience in IT - This is a Celfocus Academy Opportunity




• Eagerness to learn




• A lively and flexible mind, clear logic, a detail-oriented approach.




• Knowledge of HTTP.

• Working knowledge of programming languages


• Knowledge of the Top 10 OWASP vulnerabilities: how to find, exploit and fix them.


• The desire and ability to work in a team.


• The desire to develop yourself in the field of application security.Knowledge of English at least at the level of reading technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• Good knowledge of Linux or Windows operating systems




• Skills in scripting and automating your work using Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.




• SAST (Sonarqube, Fortify, etc.




• SCA (Dependency Check, Whitesource, etc)




• DAST (ZAP, Burp, etc)




• Defect Dojo




• Java, PHP, Python, C, etc




• Pipelines (Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc)
