Your Impact
As a Capabilities & Insights Analyst in the Digital & Technology Insights team, you will work side by side with consultants and experts to help organizations transform through data, technology, and digital innovation. You’ll combine analytical rigor with business acumen to shape client recommendations and strengthen McKinsey’s knowledge assets globally.
You will be based in Lisbon, Portugal, guiding consultants to leverage cutting‑edge offerings, products, and insights to solve complex client challenges. Your responsibilities include delivering diagnostics, insights, and products on technology strategy and productivity performance, primarily for European clients.
In this role, you will prepare accurate, well‑developed documents, models, and ready‑to‑use charts to support client success. You will also contribute to building databases, products, and knowledge codification, supporting proposals and use‑case examples that showcase our expertise.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering/IT, mathematics, electronics or a related field.
- At least 2 years of work experience in IT, either in industry/blue‑chip company or in IT consulting/advisory firm.
- Strong understanding of business concepts and proven problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with recent technological advancements such as GenAI/Agents and adaptability to work in a GenAI‑enabled environment.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion.
- Proficiency in rational decision‑making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning; strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience creating product‑focused materials, such as PowerPoint decks and Excel models.
- Exceptional time management to meet responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous environment.
- Professional attitude, intellectual curiosity, teamwork, and customer‑service orientation.
- Based in Lisbon with flexibility for hybrid work; may travel up to 10% of the time.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English, with the ability to adjust style for different audiences.
