Capgemini Portugal is seeking a Camunda Architect to strengthen our team in a hybrid work setup. You will define orchestration architecture, design complex BPMN 2.0/DMN processes, and drive integration strategies across REST, messaging, and event-driven patterns.

The role requires deep Camunda experience (8/Zeebe), senior Java/Spring Boot proficiency, and strong communication skills to articulate decisions to technical and business stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Proven experience delivering Camunda projects at architecture and implementation levels.
• Strong knowledge of Camunda 8/Zeebe (or Camunda 7 embedded engine).
• Extensive Java and Spring Boot development experience, senior level.
• Deep expertise in BPMN 2.0 and DMN for production environments.
• Experience designing integrations via REST APIs and messaging/event-driven patterns.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Camunda Architect to strengthen our team!

• Define the process orchestration architecture, including integration patterns, deployment strategy, and scalability model;
• Design and implement critical processes using BPMN 2.0 and DMN, taking ownership of the most complex process definitions;
• Establish standards for process modeling, versioning, testing, and migration strategies;
• Design the integration of the process engine with external systems through REST APIs, messaging platforms, and event-driven architectures;
• Ensure observability, incident management, and process resilience in production environments, contributing directly to troubleshooting and root cause analysis when necessary;
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams through code reviews and design decision support.

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong and proven experience delivering real-world Camunda projects, with the ability to operate both at architecture and implementation levels;
• Deep knowledge of Camunda 8 and Zeebe (architecture, workers, connectors, incident management), or equivalent experience with Camunda 7 using the embedded engine;
• Extensive software development experience with Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to code at a senior level;
• Strong expertise in BPMN 2.0 and DMN applied to demanding production environments;
• Experience designing and implementing integrations, including REST APIs, messaging systems, and event-driven patterns;
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions effectively to both technical and business stakeholders, and to justify architectural trade-offs;
• Camunda certifications is a plus;
• Previous experience as a technical lead or key technical reference in automation initiatives;
• Fluency in English.
