Calibration Engineer for Coloplast Manufacturing Portugal

Do you want to join the creation and development of the new manufacturing for our Continence Care segment within Coloplast?

Be a service partner for and support the production process, from a quality function, to produce the products our users need in the quality required?

Then look at this position: Calibration Engineer

Here you will play a key role in the quality of the products produced as a partner with responsibility for our calibration. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our rollout plan as calibration of our equipment is a key compliance component and maintains a strong baseline for continuous production at our new site. Furthermore, the calibration of our equipment is the precursor for the quality of our products and therefore for our users.

Responsibilities
  • Support and promote the quality culture for the whole site
  • Lead, execute calibrations continuously on site together with the Calibration team
  • Be the approver of calibrations from external sources
  • Train, instruct and guide the organization on site within calibration
  • Support production – Partner towards production for calibration
  • Create equipment in the calibration system and maintain the system for Felgueiras
  • Participate in projects in relation to process validation activities, and potential problem solving of technical process problems
  • Initiate investigations of failed calibration
  • Support Test Methods transfers
  • Coordination of calibration activities across the site and close cooperation with our other sites and headquarter on calibration requirements
Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

Academic background: A relevant academic background (B.Sc. or higher).

Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Calibration Engineer / Metrology Engineer or similar within a production environment

Solid understanding within the field of Metrology and Calibration and Quality i.e. GDP and GMP etc. (Quality Assurance experience is a plus)

Knowledge of software for calibration maintenance

Project knowledge and experience

Business understanding: Holistic understanding of End-To-End production

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in spoken and written English (other languages are a plus).
Timing and Location

Expected start is January 2026.

Workplace will be Felgueiras in Portugal.

During the period the workplace will be between a rented office and construction site in Felgueiras, Portugal; and potential training periods/visits of various lengths (1-3 weeks stints) for training and introductions at our other sites in Hungary and Denmark.

The travel program will be defined together with the manager.
