Job summary

Mystic Cruises is seeking a Cruise Ship Decorator & Showpiece Specialist to craft and present decorative buffets and edible masterpieces on board our vessels. The role requires strong knowledge of HACCP/SHIPSAN standards and the ability to work in a fast-paced galley environment.

Based in Funchal, Madeira, you will join a team focused on safety, cleanliness, and high guest satisfaction while creating visually stunning culinary displays for passengers.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of USPH/SHIPSAN Sanitation Standards protocols.
• Certified medically and physically fit for food prep area.
• Experience in kitchen; cruise ship preferred.
• Basic schooling is required.

Responsibilities

• Decorate buffets and showpieces for presentations in front of passengers.
• Maintain cleanliness of galley workstations and comply with sanitation rules.
• Follow HACCP/SHIPSAN and food safety procedures at all times.
• Check and prepare workstations before shifts; complete proper checklists.
• Minimize food spoilage and use cleaning materials efficiently; ensure proper waste handling.
