Job summary

Exogenus Therapeutics in Cantanhede, Portugal, invites a Scientist - Bioassays to join our R&D team. You will develop and run cell-based bioassays, contribute to experimental design and data interpretation, and help implement robust workflows for research and quality-control use.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) or MSc with significant experience.
• Experience with secretome research, extracellular vesicles or related nanoparticle modalities.
• Hands-on experience developing, optimizing or implementing cell-based in vitro assays.
• Practical experience in cell and molecular biology techniques such as primary cell culture, flow cytometry, qPCR/dPCR and Western blotting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and implement cell-based and biomolecular in vitro bioassays and workflows.
• Plan and carry out experiments, analyze data and support evidence-based decisions.
• Perform routine laboratory testing per approved protocols and quality requirements.
• Produce clear, traceable records, reports and presentations.
• Contribute to assay transfer and quality-control activities in GMP-aligned or QMS environments.
• Support lab operations including consumables planning, inventory and purchasing.
