Barista (Temporary)

Our busy coffee shop in Funchal is seeking a skilled and experienced Barista to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining the cleanliness of the café, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty beverages
• Ensure quality control by following recipes and using proper techniques for preparing drinks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including brewing equipment, work stations, and dining areas
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently, handling payments, and addressing any customer concerns or inquiries
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (12 pass jobs)
• Proven experience as a Barista in a fast-paced coffee shop or similar environment
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and latte art is highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
