Diconium in Porto, Portugal, is seeking an experienced backend developer to join our global team and help build modern web applications connected to embedded devices. You will work on microservices, serverless components and data-driven solutions across cloud and IoT domains.

Qualificações

• Solid experience with modern backend web development and concepts.
• Building backend API services with up-to-date backend technologies (e.g. Java/Spring, GoLang, Rust, Node.js).
• Team player with a passion to learn and develop yourself and the ability to think outside the box.
• Experience with relational/SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience building microservice architectures.
• Understanding concepts behind serverless functions.
• Fluent English (German is a plus).
• Nice to have: event sourced systems or messaging brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

Responsabilidades

• Flesh out new concepts and features with colleagues and influence green-field work.
• Build modern web applications with a tech stack connecting to embedded devices from IoT to the Cloud.
• Develop backend projects for test rack management platforms using bleeding-edge web technologies.
• Maintain high code quality with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with a diverse agile team of up to 8 people (developers, designers, testers).
• Be creative to build innovative apps rather than maintaining status quo.
• Learn and apply new concepts rather than evangelism.

YOUR TASKS

• Flesh out new concepts, ideas and features with your colleagues and actively shape things instead of just working off tickets and influence on the "green-field" instead of maintaining legacy software
• Building modern state of the art web applications with connection to embedded devices with a modern tech-stack, including Java and Serverless functions - reaching from IOT to the Cloud
• Implementing both backend projects for our test rack management platform with bleeding edge web technologies instead of run-of-the-mill
• You care about our products by applying high code quality standards with automated testing and continuous integration in mind
• Interacting with a diverse agile team of up to 8 people including developers, designers and testers
• Be creative to build innovative apps instead of adding up to standstill
• Learn and apply new concepts instead of mindless technology evangelism

YOUR PROFILE

• Solid experience with modern backend web development and concepts
• Building backend api services with up-to-date backend technologies (e.g. Java/Spring, GoLang, Rust, Nodejs)
• Team player at heart with a passion to learn and develop yourself as well as the ability to think outside the box
• Previous experience with relational/SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience building microservice architectures
• Understanding concepts behind serverless functions
• Fluent English (German is a plus)
• Nice to have: experience implementing event sourced systems, and/or messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
