Diconium is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join their team in Porto, Portugal. You will be responsible for developing scalable backend microservices and integrating them with various applications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Java Spring Boot and Azure Cloud services.

Qualificações

• Solid experience as a Backend Developer, specializing in Java Spring Boot or similar Java Frameworks.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure Cloud services (Storage, Security, Networking, Deployment, VMs, etc.).
• Experience with Microservice Architectures and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with stream processing technologies (Kafka, Spark, etc.).
• Understanding of security best practices in backend applications.

What You Can Expect

• Develop and maintain scalable and secure backend microservices using Java Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks in Azure Cloud.
• Design and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration with various applications and platforms.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to ensure efficient, agile delivery.
• Manage SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with event-driven architectures, using tools like Kafka or other messaging solutions.
• Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of backend services.
• Contribute to high-availability and low-latency software architecture design and implementation.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and data engineers to ensure stable and efficient integrations.

What You Bring Along

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience as a Backend Developer, specializing in Java Spring Boot or similar Java Frameworks.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Azure Cloud services (Storage, Security, Networking, Deployment, VMs, etc.).
• Experience with Microservice Architectures and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with stream processing technologies (Kafka, Spark, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of relational and non‑relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Understanding of security best practices in backend applications.
• Nice to have: Experience with Go (Golang) and/or Kotlin.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including backend engineers, DevOps, UX designers, and product managers.
