Catawiki is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our Lisbon-based hybrid team. You will build scalable microservices, own deployments, and collaborate across product, design, and engineering to deliver high‑quality features for our global marketplace.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of software development experience with object‑oriented programming.
• 3+ years of experience working with customer‑facing products in ecommerce/fintech/SaaS.
• Backend services design, deployment, high availability, low latency, and data consistency.
• API design, SQL, and relational databases.

Responsabilidades

• Build end‑to‑end microservices and features with end‑to‑end ownership.
• Own the quality, resilience, and maintainability of services.
• Collaborate with product/design and frontend/backend/mobie engineers to deliver innovations.
• Improve engineering processes and advocate best practices.
• Fix bugs and refactor code to keep products reliable.
