Miniclip is seeking a Backend Developer to join our Lisbon GamesDevelopment Studio. You will design, develop, and operate robust backend systems that support millions of users in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Working with cross-functional teams, you will migrate legacy components, optimize performance, and contribute to new game modes and features. Hybrid in Lisbon, this full-time role offers the chance to influence a global mobile gaming platform.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in server-side back-end development in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Go, Erlang, Elixir or PHP.
• Experience managing high-capacity web servers.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Miniclip is looking for aBackend Developerto hire in our Lisbon (Portugal) GamesDevelopment Studio.

This is an exciting opportunity for a software developer to integrate into an agile, highly effective,and skilled team. You will be working with the team that is responsible for the development andoperation of the Multiplayer Mobile Game Backend Applications and Infrastructure that support ourtens of millions of users!

This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

Your work will include:

• Designing, developing, maintaining, and operating robust and scalable back-end systems byusing, extending, and improving existing in-house technology


• Finding the best solutions to implement, and tools to adopt, for the technological challengesthe systems and processes face


• Experience in managing migrations of legacy systems


• Participating in team activities to develop new concepts for game modes, promotionalcampaigns, temporary events, and in-game content


• Working together with a multi-disciplinary and highly motivated agile Scrum developmentteam, including backend and client developers, quality assurance testers, release managers,and others


• Proactively addressing opportunities and needs by supporting the development of newfeatures and resolving bugs and limitations within internal systems

• Prior professional experience in software development for networked back-end/serversystems in a UNIX/Linux/POSIX environment


• Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Go(Golang), Erlang, Elixir or PHP


• Experience managing high-capacity web servers


• Experience with requirements analysis and dimensioning


• Excellent problem-solving skills through analytical, systematical, or intuitive approaches


• A strong curiosity and commitment to continuously learning new skills, exploring innovativeapproaches, and enhancing product and code quality


• Proficiency in both written and spoken English

The following skills are desirable but not essential (if you have them, don’t forget to mention them):

• Experience with cloud infrastructure design and operation


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
