Abtrace, a health tech company, is expanding its backend team in Porto. We are building scalable cloud-based services using Python, NodeJS, and AWS, aimed at supporting primary care clinicians.

You will join a small, multidisciplinary team including doctors and data scientists. The role focuses on writing well-tested backend code, deploying to the cloud, and building data pipelines in a fast-moving environment.

Qualificações

• Backend development experience with Python; NodeJS is a plus.
• Experience building cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data ingestion pipelines.
• DevOps/cloud infrastructure management (CloudFormation/Terraform or similar).
• Experience with serverless applications (AWS Lambda or similar).

Abtrace is a health tech company based in London also with a presence in Portugal, with a team of doctors, researchers, developers and data scientists that bring together software engineering, machine learning expertise and medical experience to build clinical algorithms to support primary care clinicians.

The team is dedicated to creating digital health software to deliver Population Health interventions individualized to patients. This involves the continuous scanning of the entire health record of a patient to detect signals of deterioration, early onset of new disease and opportunities for preventative interventions.

We work with over 500 primary care practices in the UK covering 4.5 million patients.

About the role:

We are looking for a Back-End (Mid/Senior) to join our team who works well in a fast moving team and communicates effectively with non-technical team members.

The core of the role will be building backend components for our applications. The candidate will be proficient in developing scalable cloud-based applications with Python and NodeJS, and will ideally have experience working with AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Write well-tested, scalable backend application code
• Work with a small, close knit, diverse multi-disciplinary team of developers, data scientists and doctors

• Backend development in Python; experience with NodeJS is a plus
• Building, testing, and deploying applications on a cloud platform (preferably AWS)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and building data ingestion pipelines
• DevOps/cloud infrastructure management (CloudFormation/Terraform or similar)
• Experience with serverless applications (AWS Lambda or similar)
