Job summary

Avanade Inc. in Lisbon, Portugal is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Consultant to design, build, and migrate enterprise-scale cloud environments on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on secure, compliant insurance infrastructure.

You will lead architecture, automation, and security initiatives, mentor juniors, and partner with stakeholders to deliver resilient hybrid solutions, DevOps practices, and cost-optimized cloud operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Infrastructure engineering experience with at least 3 years on Microsoft Azure enterprise deployments.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking (VNet peering, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateways) and cloud security best practices.
• Strong background in Windows Server and/or Linux administration within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Bicep, plus PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable enterprise infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS).
• Architect secure connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure services (ExpressRoute/VPNs/Virtual WAN).
• Automate provisioning and operations using IaC, CI/CD, and scripting.
