A leading software development company in Porto is seeking a Senior AWS/Security Networking Engineer to design secure, scalable cloud networks. In this role, you will influence design decisions and collaborate across teams while ensuring compliance with security standards. Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in AWS security and networking.
• Certifications in AWS Advanced Networking and Security specialties required.
• Strong proficiency in core networking and security concepts.
• Security: strong knowledge of NIST/CIS benchmarks and AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, Shield).
• Terraform or similar IaC tooling; familiarity with SIEM and vulnerability tooling.
• English at least an upper-intermediate level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and optimize AWS networking solutions.
• Define and enforce security standards in line with NIST and CIS.
• Conduct network and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Support incident response and troubleshooting across the network and security stack.
• Automate routine tasks using infrastructure-as-code and security-as-code practices.
• Partner with governance, risk, and compliance teams to maintain audit readiness.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join as a Senior AWSecurity Networking Engineer to shape secure, scalable cloud networks that drive business impact. You’ll influence design decisions, optimize infrastructure, and collaborate across teams, gaining hands‑on experience with AWS and security while growing in a dynamic, innovation‑focused environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, implement, and optimize AWS networking solutions (VPC design, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, PrivateLink, Route 53, ALB/NLB, etc.).
• Define and enforce security standards in alignment with NIST and CIS benchmarks.
• Conduct network and security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and drive remediation plans.
• Support incident response and troubleshooting across the network and security stack.
• Automate routine tasks using infrastructure‑as‑code and security‑as‑code best practices.
• Partner with governance, risk, and compliance teams to maintain audit readiness.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of experience.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty; AWS Security Specialty.
• Networking expertise: Core networking concepts (routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancers); AWS networking constructs (VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway, etc.).
• Security expertise: Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and CIS benchmarks; Hands‑on experience with AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, Shield, etc.); Understanding of encryption, key management, and secure data flows.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform); Familiarity with SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention, vulnerability scanning tools.
• English: Upper‑Intermediate level.

• Working knowledge of developing basic REST API Services.
