A global IT services company in Lisbon is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS services like Glue, S3, and Athena and will optimize data usage for innovation. Qualificações

• Familiarity with AWS Glue for ETL operations.

Requirements

• AWS Glue: familiarity with Glue Catalog, Glue Jobs, and Glue Crawlers for ETL operations.

• AWS Lake Formation: experience building and securing data lakes, including architecture and policy management.
• AWS Athena: ability to write and optimize SQL queries for performance.
• Data Modelling: skills in designing and implementing data models for specific use cases.
• Security: basic understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
• Performance Tuning: ability to optimize the performance of AWS services for specific use cases.
• Troubleshooting: ability to identify and resolve issues related to AWS services.
• Communication: ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical team members.
• Project Management: capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• AWS Certification: AWS Certified Big Data or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.

Nice to Have

• AWS Redshift: understanding of data loading, modeling, and performance tuning for data warehousing.
• AWS Aurora: familiarity with relational database services, including database management, SQL, and optimization.
