Consort Group Portugal is hiring an Automation Tester to join our nearshore team in Lisbon. You will design, implement, and run automated tests across web, API, mobile, and performance domains, ensuring application quality and reliability.

You will translate business requirements into precise test specs, support development, and help evolve our automation framework within an Agile environment. Hybrid work is offered with emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• At least 6 years in software development and testing environments.
• Strong experience in test automation and application quality assurance.
• Solid understanding of automated testing methodologies.

Automation Tester

This is your mission

Are you passionate about software quality, test automation, and delivering reliable applications? Then this position is for you.

As an Analyst / Developer, you will join an automation testing environment where you will contribute to the design, implementation, and execution of automated tests, ensuring application quality, performance, and reliability.

You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, supporting development teams, designing test strategies, and contributing to continuous improvement within an Agile environment.

Build Side

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for development and testing teams.
• Participate in project analysis phases and contribute to the definition of technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scenarios for different types of applications.
• Create and execute functional, API, integration, mobile, and performance tests.
• Support developers in complex technical investigations and quality improvements.
• Design test architectures and contribute to automation frameworks evolution.
• Integrate automation practices and AI-based solutions to accelerate testing activities and error detection.
• Ensure documentation and traceability of testing activities.

Run side:

• Execute automated test campaigns and analyze test results.
• Monitor application quality through continuous testing practices.
• Perform load and performance testing to validate application scalability.Identify defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the software lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with project stakeholders.

This is your background

You have at least 6 years of experience working in software development and testing environments, with strong experience in test automation and application quality assurance.

You have a solid understanding of automated testing methodologies and enjoy working in collaborative technical environments where quality, innovation, and continuous improvement are key priorities.

You are comfortable working with development teams, analyzing complex requirements, and designing reliable solutions.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and software quality processes.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Java and Cucumber
  • Selenium and Appium frameworks
  • JMeter and Locust for performance and load testing
• Experience designing and executing:
  • Functional tests
  • API tests
  • Integration tests
  • Mobile application tests
  • Performance and load tests
• Experience with applications deployed in Cloud environments.
• Knowledge of:
  • SQL
  • Jira
  • Jenkins
  • OpenShift
  • CI/CD practices
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Understanding of software architecture and application lifecycle.
