Job summary

Tether.io seeks anAutomation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

You will build and maintain test automation, integrate into CI/CD, and help ensure product quality. You will work with developers and product to define testability, run exploratory testing, and use Playwright, WebdriverIO and Appium across Electron and React Native apps, including real devices. Remote, international collaboration core value.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI‑powered applications is a plus.
